Magnifying Glass

Description

A magnifying glass is a double convex lens that can focuses the light rays onto a single point (called focal point). When the sunlight focuses on a spot, the light decreases in size but intensifies in its brightness. When we concentrate a lot of sunlight at one point, so this intensified light & heat energy on a single spot so that there is enough energy to burn up the paper.
